Steve Wozniak joins blockchain-based VC

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak confirmed that he has become co-founder of a blockchain-based venture capital company EQUI Global.

Dedicated to the disruption of the venture capital industry, Wozniak is joining the company funded by Doug Barrowman and baroness Michelle Mone OBE who acts as a co-founder.

According to the official announcement, the technology focused venture capital fund is focused on so called “sophisticated” investors who can buy EquiToken, a token infrastructure build on Etherium.

As reported, the involvement of Wozniak will help the company look more reliable. He will also have an important role in finding tech companies that are worth to invest in.

“Dreams do come true. He has been my business idol since I was a teenager…I’m delighted to announce that tech legend, co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak has become my business partner at Equiglobal”, Michelle Mone OBE commented.

In his turn Steve Wozniak noted. “I get ideas pitched to me every single day in fact dozens and I always say no. Since I co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs, this is about the second time in twenty years that I actually said yes, I want to be a part of this. It has to be something I really believe in and I really believe in EQUI.”

He added that EQUI Global is already looking at around 20 businesses.

“As entrepreneurs first and foremost, we have worked day and night to make revised EQUI happen. We are proud of the name and we will go forward with EQUI as the brand. We are still learning on our EQUI journey. However, we will always be transparent and fully compliant with best practice and laws surrounding crypto world”, company founder Doug Barrowman added.

In addition, EQUI Global’s main focus will be conventional tech, Blockchain and biotech investment opportunities.
