The future of Africa’s financial infrastructure is being forged today, and a powerful lineup of Bitcoin innovators is leading the charge. During Africa Bitcoin Day, the first expert panel titled “Infrastructure & Innovation for Africa’s Bitcoin Future” brought together some of the continent’s most dynamic minds working to reimagine finance through the lens of Bitcoin.
Moderated by regional crypto advocates, the panel featured:
• Sabina G (@tando_me), Co-Founder of Tando, whose community-first approach is revolutionizing how everyday Africans interact with Bitcoin. Her work focuses on simplifying Bitcoin payments, making them not only accessible but a tool for economic empowerment.
• Fidel. O (@bitika_KE), CEO of Bitika, introduced the audience to a new standard of user privacy and speed in Bitcoin adoption. His no-KYC, no-login Lightning platform allows users to stack sats in three simple steps—cutting through red tape and putting control back in users’ hands.
• Wandia M (@DadaDevs), Project Manager at Bitcoin Dada, inspired the crowd with her multi-talented journey as a certified Bitcoin developer, UX/UI designer, and mentor for young women in tech. Her message emphasized intuitive, inclusive design that brings Bitcoin literacy to everyone—regardless of background.
• Sarah M (@bitsacco), Treasurer at BitSacco, shared how her organization is transforming traditional SACCOs by integrating Bitcoin into grassroots savings groups (chamas), building resilient community economies from the ground up.
Attendees heard powerful insights into the tools, strategies, and philosophies driving Bitcoin’s adoption across the continent. From decentralized savings models to inclusive design and privacy-first platforms, each panelist offered a glimpse into the bold future of Africa’s Bitcoin infrastructure.
The session closed with a call to action: Build local. Empower communities. Trust the network.
“This isn’t about the future. It’s already happening,” said Fidel O. “Africa is not catching up—we’re creating the blueprint.”
Stay tuned for more updates from Africa Bitcoin Day, where the decentralized revolution is just getting started.
